The active all-wheel drive of Porsche Traction Management (PTM) provides optimal lateral support as well as the best possible power distribution. You select the respective off-road mode by using terms such as 'gravel' or 'mud' in PCM. On mountain descents, Porsche Hill Control (PHC) keeps the speed constant between 3 and 30km/h.
Chassis Systems
Porsche 40 Chassis Control centrally analyzes the driving situation in all three spatial dimensions, calculates the best driving conditions and synchronizes all the chassis systems in real time.
Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is an electronic damping control system that actively controls the damping force as per the road conditions and driving mode, for each wheel. For reduced body movements and more seat comfort. Three modes: 'Normal', 'Sport' and 'Sport Plus'.

What unites us all is our passionate enthusiasm for the sports car experience. It begins the moment we lay eyes on the exterior. And this one screams Porsche. For the Cayenne, there are Porsche distinguishing features. The heavily emphasized front fenders; the long, sloping hood with power domes; and the characteristic three-piece air intakes, which have become even larger and more dominant. The front fascia is new and powerfully styled—even when stationary, it alludes to concentrated performance with standard LED headlights and optional LED Matrix Design with Porsche Dynamic Lighting System Plus (PDLS+).
Together, you can reach any destination. Even those to which no road leads. All-wheel drive.
City, country, river bed. The standard all-wheel drive of the Cayenne helps ensure traction on the road— and, if necessary, on the race track. The Cayenne is also equipped for many other challenges, including water crossing with a depth of up to 19.6 inches.* Even in challenging terrain, the vehicle does not stop, because the Adaptive Air Suspension increases the maximum ground clearance when required. The rear axle dierential lock of the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) oers optimum traction on the rear axle, while the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) oers better ground contact and increased supremacy.
Porsche Traction Management (PTM). All models are equipped with PTM as standard: an active all-wheel drive with electronically variable, electronically-controlled multi-plate clutch, Automatic Brake Dierential (ABD) system, and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR). The result is optimal traction and force distribution. The all-wheel drive is operated by selecting the respective o-road mode (such as ‘Gravel’ or ‘Mud’) directly on PCM. The system adjusts itself precisely to the environment. Porsche Hill Control (PHC). On mountain descents, the PHC keeps the speed constant. The speed is adjustable between 3 and 18 mph.
